Are adults allowed to play with toys with face?

Are adults allowed to play with toys with face (such as teddy bears)?

There is a consensus among the scholars that it is permissible for children to have animal toys

On the authority of Aisha (ra), that she said:

“The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) saw amongst them (dolls) a horse with two wings from scraps of cloth. He (pbuh) said: What is this which I see amongst them (dolls)? She said: A horse. He asked: What is upon it? She said: Two wings. He (pbuh) asked (in astonishment): A horse with two wings? She said: Didn't you hear that Sulaiman (Solomon - AS) had horses with wings? She said: Then he (pbuh) laughed until I saw his molar teeth. (Sunan Abu Dawud, Nasai)

`Aishah said: “I used to play with dolls in front of the Prophet (pbuh) with my friends …” (Bukharî; Muslim) as these are a means for education and constructive play and are free from the danger of being venerated.

Scholars commonly agree that toys are allowed for the kids. (Ibn Abidin)

Because the purpose of toys is the education of children. (al Jaziri) In other words, they are not used for evil purposes.

The great famous Maliki scholar Qadi Iyad says it is commonly accepted among the scholars that toys are exceptions of the forbidden images like sculptures. (Islamic Fiqh Encyclopedia)

The toy images are not haram. (Halil Günenç)

However, when we examine the hadiths, we see that images whether with shadow (three dimensional) or not (two dimensional) are not allowed. This tells us that the permission of dolls is peculiar to children for their education. And as to adults, it is better to be on the safe side and watch out the rulings in the following hadiths:

Angels Do Not Enter A House Where There are Images

Abu Hurairah ra reported Allah's Messenger pbuh as saying, "Angels do not enter a house (or any other place) where there are statues or pictures ." (Muslim 3/1162, no.5276)

The Blessed Prophet (pbuh ) disapproved the cushion with images

Narrated 'Aisha ra, the wife of the Prophet pbuh, who said: I bought a cushion having images on it. When Allah's Messenger pbuh saw it, he stopped at the door and did not enter. She noticed the signs of strong disapproval on his face. She said "O Allah's Messenger! I turn to Allah and His Messenger in repentance. What sin have I committed?" He said, "What is this cushion for?" I said, "I have bought it for you to sit and recline on." Allah's Messenger swt said "The makers of these images will be punished (severely) on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to them, make alive what you have created." He pbuh added, "Angels do not enter a house in which there are images." (Bukhari, 7/545, no.844), Muslim 3/1159, no.5266)
